Executive Team

Kevin McKee

Chief Executive Officer

As a child, Kevin was fascinated by the complexity of building and construction. That childhood fascination eventually led him to establish his own company, Pangman Development Corporation.

Kevin’s career in real estate development began in 1991 when he joined Avison Young after earning a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta. Following 13 successful years at Avison Young, Kevin joined WAM Development Group, where he was responsible for projects totalling $525 million.

In early 2010, Kevin left WAM to focus solely on Pangman Development Corporation, which he’d founded in 1996. A lifelong Edmontonian, he saw an opportunity in the market for a professional development company focused on projects that transform how people experience the city he loves.

Under Kevin’s forthright, reliable and generous leadership, Pangman has become one of Edmonton’s most prominent real estate development corporations with over $600 million in total assets owned and under development. Outside of the office, Kevin enjoys being with his family and giving back to the community. He sits on several committees for charitable organizations and serves on the Stollery Children Hospital Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

Jon Chia

Senior Executive

In April 2020, Jon Chia joined Pangman Development Corporation as a Senior Executive. Jon brings a wealth of industry expertise and a deep passion for community-building. He is known for his financial and strategic acumen, his ability to apply pragmatic solutions to complex problems, and the pride he takes in his work.

Prior to joining Pangman, Jon spent over 18 years in a variety of senior executive roles at publicly traded and private companies. He was CFO of an Edmonton-based industrial IT firm that was sold to a Fortune 100 company, and later became CFO of a publicly traded real estate developer and REIT. By 2016, he was President and CEO of a real estate development and asset management company.

Jon is as dedicated to his community as he is to his profession: He sits on the board of the Stollery Children’s Hospital, the Edmonton Police Foundation and the Board Finance and Property Committee for the University of Alberta. A lifelong Edmontonian and University of Alberta alumnus, Jonathan is also a devoted Oilers fan, a golf enthusiast, and an avid outdoorsman – in October 2019 he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. Jonathan and his wife have two children, who keep them fully occupied on weekends at local hockey arenas.

Our Team

Amir Khan

Manager - Accounting

A born and raised Edmontonian, Amir is a fun-loving professional and devoted team player. In fact, part of what he enjoys most about working at Pangman Development Corporation is the opportunity to work with a group of brilliant minds toward a desired goal. As the Corporate Project Accountant, Amir is a meticulous and creative problem solver who oversees numerous development projects, ensuring consistent, timely, high quality draw accounting and financial reporting. Amir also verifies job related costs and ensures CRA compliance and accuracy of development costs, timely financial reporting functions for entities and distributes financial statement packages to external parties.

When Amir isn’t administering stellar financial reporting, he is often immersing himself in local arts and culture or participating in his other passions: health and fitness, hitting the slopes or reading a good book.
